3-Way Style Challenge June: LPM Showroom

In the June edition of the 3-Way Style Challenge, we invited 3 local bloggers to come "run wild" in the new LPM showroom!  Instead of styling one piece, the girls each styled an entire outfit---- all they brought were shoes/ accessories.  It was fun to see an entire outfit styled with vintage in 3 completely different ways---These ladies definitely know how to work it!

Who styled best? Vote for your favorite blogger in the poll at the end of the post--- winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to La Petite Marmoset! (Polls close Friday at Noon ET)

1) Lacey (A Lacey Perspective)

Lacey just got engaged--- she's only a little bit excited ;)
Shirt and Shorts- Vintage (La Petite Marmoset available here), Shoes- Zara

Lacey, on her personal style: "My summers are filled with color, print mixing and sequins. Don't be afraid to sparkle day or night!"

2) Monica (Monalavinia)

Top and Shorts- Vintage (La Petite Marmoset), Shoes- Zara

Monica, on her personal style: "I'm highly inspired by my surroundings. Summer time for me is skin , prints and vibrant colored vibes. Silhouettes are my focus , texture my preference, print mixing my specialty."

Top, Belt, and Skirt- Vintage (La Petite Marmoset available here and here), Clutch- her own DIY

Denisio, on her personal style: "I think my style is colorful, fun, vintage, and eccentric.  I like tailored lines like in pencil skirts because they are flattering to my curves.  I love to mix prints and textures, especially florals with animal prints.  And I love anything with a little bit of sparkle!"

Nice job ladies! Now it's time to vote:

Bloggers, Babes and Bubbly

Little did I know that was the last time I'd see my Iphone... another one bites the bar!

Photos by Sebastian Marin

Here are a couple of quick photos from Violet Boutique's holiday party for La Petite Marmoset, Spicy Candy, A Lacey Perspective, and The President Wears Prada.  We were so honored to have many bloggers, friends, family, and fans in attendance as well as the rest of the crew from the lookbook (some of whom might have had a lit-tle too much bubbly! You know who you are...). Julie and her staff at Violet were super friendly and accommodating as always--- they even ordered cookies with our marmoset logo on them! We kept the party going afterwards at Little Miss Whiskey's on Hst (Check out Pich&Roor for a recap!). Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us and our lookbook!

"Photos of people taking photos"-- Lookbook Behind The Scenes

That's a wrap!

Looking at these behind the scenes photos makes you realize how much work really goes into a project like this! We were so lucky to have the ladies from W Salon join our team literally the day before the shoot--- they were all so nice and made the already beautiful models turn lookbook fabulous! Some of the girls were coming right from exams/ preparing for finals (Mansi was studying impossible organic chemistry flashcards in between hair and makeup). Marshall said that he could "barely walk" the day after our shoot--- If you can't tell from the photos above, photography and videography can be very physically demanding!  The stylists and myself were hauling garment bags and crates up and down Hst (we even put our male model Will to work--after all, he wasn't the one wearing Jeffrey Campbells).  My point in all this is not to brag, whine, or complain--I just wanted to express how much of a group effort this really was!

Thank you readers for following our blogs over the past week and seeing how everything unfolded--- your feedback has been great! I hope you enjoyed seeing a different side of DC :)

Feeling Lucky?

Host Lacey stood out in an all red ensemble
Met Lauren of Haute off the Press-- I might have awkwardly petted her vest
Big fan of this cape+skinnies sillohuette!

All clothes from Anne Taylor Loft (except Baker's boots)

The DC blogosphere was abuzz this past Saturday when Lucky magazine partnered with Loft and A Lacey Perspective (Triple L baby!) for an afternoon of styling, champagne and Georgetown cupcakes. I'll be perfectly honest, I had never set foot in a Loft/Anne Taylor store before this event.  After having a chance to style head-to-toe Loft outfits, I realized I've been missing out! (Definitely walked away with that faux fur trim knit cape--45% discounts can't be denied!).  To nail the lid on my weekend budget coffin, Loft is strategically located next to a Nine West... let's just say I welcomed some new members into the shoe family.
