It went from rainy and windy to hot and sticky DC weather in a matter of days! That, combined with the fact that my home office defaults to 3rd Circle of Hell temperatures, made me head straight for easy summer basics. I don't mind it too much though, it's kind of like having my very own pore-clearing sauna.
Uploaded new vintage (oxymoron?) to the store including what I like to call the "FRINGE-tastic suede vest!" Visit www.lpmvintage.com :)
This is the type of shirt I could imagine someone buying while on vacation at the resort gift store for a one-time golf excursion. My experience with said sport consists of going to the driving range back in high school, taking out my frustration with a couple of swings (a friend said it was therapeutic) and basically shaming the entire golf community with my lack of skills. It was bad-- like Charles Barkley bad. Let me put it this way: At beach putt-putt, the four year olds laugh at me/ complain to their parents that I'm taking too long. To be fair, some of those courses are pretty damn elaborate!
Where to begin? Attended the grand opening of Sax Restaurant/Lounge in DC--- it reminded me of Chuck Bass's cabaret in the first season of Gossip Girl! The restaurant looked like the inside of an opera house, except for the fact there were baroque murals of former presidents engaging in scandalous behavior everywhere (*cough* Bill and Monica). Wore this lovely burnout velvet fringed kimono I ordered from GirlOnAVine. (The only drawback of having an Etsy store is that you're constantly looking at other people's Etsy stores, thereby increasing your chances of online shopping!)
A "Sax" scandal!
Ayanna stopped by yesterday to look at some pieces I pulled for an upcoming shoot she's styling--- the theme is going to be "Living Dolls"/ "Maniacal 6 year old girl dresses a Barbie." Love the idea!
In between finals I styled a photo shoot for the online store with model Kori Lei and photographer Erwin Simbulan-- can't wait to upload these after my last exam on Wednesday! Check out the quick video below-- Hope you all had an amazing weekend!
