3-Way Style Challenge June: LPM Showroom

In the June edition of the 3-Way Style Challenge, we invited 3 local bloggers to come "run wild" in the new LPM showroom!  Instead of styling one piece, the girls each styled an entire outfit---- all they brought were shoes/ accessories.  It was fun to see an entire outfit styled with vintage in 3 completely different ways---These ladies definitely know how to work it!

Denisio, on her personal style: "I think my style is colorful, fun, vintage, and eccentric.  I like tailored lines like in pencil skirts because they are flattering to my curves.  I love to mix prints and textures, especially florals with animal prints.  And I love anything with a little bit of sparkle!"

3-Way Style Challenge April: On Repeat

For the LPM April 3-Way Style Challenge, we decided to throw out a real life scenario-- What if you had to wear the same item of clothing two days in a row?  (lost luggage, holding out on doing laundry, going from one event to the next, etc.) We asked 3 local fashion bloggers to style our high-low tribal print top two different ways--- The resulting combinations rocked! Each girl showed us two takes on their own kick butt personal style :)   Who wore it best?  Sara, on her personal style: "My style is classy chic meets modern edgy rocker. I like to pair unexpected pieces together like a bold vintage print top with a structured black short. I also think it's extremly important to wear what you are most confident and comfortable in. Wearing an outfit that's not 'you' will simply translate into a misguided statement." 

2) Sai (Because I Am Fabulous) 

 Sai, on her personal style: "My style is fun, sexy, and just me! I chose that [style] because I absolutely love colors and that shirt just gave me life! There was so much to do with it! But I wanted a fun day look and also a night look."

3) Waverly (Pich & Roor) 

 Waverly, on her personal style: "I would describe my style as sporadic. It depends entirely on my mood, sometimes I want to be girly, other times I channel my inner vampire with a dark lipstick. One consistency in my style is that there's usually a lot of leg showing, because it's my favorite body part :)"

February 3-Way Style Challenge: Campus Edition

For the LPM February 3-Way Style Challenge, we decided to change things up a bit-- we went to three DC area schools: Marymount University, Howard, and GW--- and picked 3 girls from each school to wear our reconstructed items. Let me tell you, we were in street style bliss! Every school had their own unique taste and put a different spin on a teal crop top, tribal shorts, and high-low colorblock dress.  Who wore it best? Carolina, on Marymount style: "There's two different types of people at MU: The Fashion students, and [the rest of the] students. The second you walk into a Fashion class you know that it isn't exactly your finance class. Alicia, on Howard style: "eccentric. Up dated on trends but not too trendy... [everyone brings] each outfit to life with their own personal style." One girl in the lobby where I was waiting said "Everyday walking to class is like a catwalk-- you don't dare wear sweatpants!"

3) George Washington University

Veronica, on GW style: "I would say it is very modern/edgy influenced by the large number of international and NYC students. You can definitely see the latest fashion trends outside of Gelman Library and most students usually look very well put together."
