Alicia, on Howard style: "eccentric. Up dated on trends but not too trendy... [everyone brings] each outfit to life with their own personal style." One girl in the lobby where I was waiting said "Everyday walking to class is like a catwalk-- you don't dare wear sweatpants!"
3) George Washington University

ReplyDeleteThe Howard girls are burning that camera UP! Love the looks.
ReplyDeleteKatherine, you should definitely do another challenge like this! OMWord, I loved it. Getting to know how each university represents in style. Awesome idea. I was already famaliar with HU because my parents and sister graduated from there. Plus, I know way too many damn people that went to that school. lolol. HU is made up of very smart students that know STYLE. Great mix.
ReplyDeleteRegarding this challenge, even though all the girls came correct, for me it's a tie between HU and GWU.
Thanks Vivi! Glad you liked it---It was a lot of fun to go visit all these girls! Will be interesting to see who wins :)
Deleteahhh, it was so hard to vote, i seriously love them allllll! amazing.

Oh my, I am sorry but the girls from Marymount WORKED THE LOOKS! Megan's sheer top and chunky necklace translated well with the tribal shorts and the pop of color in the shoes stayed true to the heritage of the shorts. Carolina the color blocking is classic, timeless, simple and elegant I feel as though you are channeling the Mad Men era; what a great way to showcase the top. Meah, you definitely did not get lost in the complexity of the dress, you stayed true to the era of the dress and added an amazing necklace, sheer tights, and funky wedges. You girls rocked the look the best, but what do you expect from students of Marymount?
