I love that over-sized novelty sweaters are back in trend for fall--- my last 5 years of hoarding tacky 80s knits has not been in vain! This particular print that Ashley picked up is one of my current favorites in the shop-- there's something surprisingly elegant about the contrasting leaves. Or maybe they're still obnoxious. Glad that I finally have an excuse to take advantage of all the camo print fatigues I find! This is a great type of jacket to keep any look from feeling "too pretty" (because why would we ever want that?).  Thanks to Nadine's hair workshop tips, I got a chance to test out a more volumized top knot bun than I normally do--- I think it would make a nice home for birds. 

Sad to be missing out on the New York Fashion Week Festivities, but will still be celebrating Fashion's Night out tonight in Georgetown with fellow bloggers! Look forward to seeing you there :)

I'll admit it-- I haven't been the healthiest lately. Between going out, traveling, and late night chocolate indulgences coupled with red wine (so goooood), my normal routine has taken a back seat.  They say that you are a function of your environment, and what you surround yourself with becomes your reality... so I've decided to surround myself with large pictures of fruits and vegetables!! Produce everywhere! (Like those old communist propaganda posters, except instead of wanting to exterminate capitalism, I will exterminate the Chips Ahoy in my cabinet.) My thinking is that by simply having veggies around me I will soak in nutrients through osmosis. Yes. This sounds like a plan...

I finally experienced a real vintage fur-gasm! (don't you love how you can add that suffix on to any word and instantly make it sound way more exciting?)  Not only does this coat have mink and leather zig-zag stripes, it has paisly print lining that adds what I referr to as "secret fun" (It's kind of like wearing fabulous underwear that only you know about).  Naturally, I wore it to go eat deli bagel sandwiches---- hope you all had a great breakfast this morning and start to your week!
