Picture This...

Got these shoes three years ago at the start of Balmainia and never did give them their fair share of use. Rediscovered them today--no longer shall you gather dust in the back of my closet!

Shirt- Thrifted, Shorts and Hat- Forever21, Purse- Vintage, Shoes- Baker's

Is it too cold for this outfit? Yes. Like 20-some degrees windchill.  Is it completely irrational to wear it anyway? Probably. Do I even care? Nope!  I love having these inner conversations when getting dressed in the morning. Of course I ended up wearing this with tights and a jacket, but that's just not nearly as exciting.

So moment of the week: Last night I was both lost and running late for my first photography class (got it as an xmas present) and ran around in my workout clothes frantically asking for help with directions (I never did make it to the gym beforehand, but sometimes wearing the clothes makes you feel like you did. Ha.). I finally found the building, dashed up the steps and stumbled into the studio to find 5 other students waiting (Wow, intimate classDefinitely expected there to be more people so I could have snuck in the back.) I apologized profusely, looked around realized everyone came fully prepared with notebook, pen, and copies of their most recent photos...except for me. (Ahh! Bad first impression!) I mumbled to the guy next to me asking for paper and then borrowed a pen from another guy sitting across the table who gave me a really strange look. (I guess he didn't like sharing?)  The instructor, who had also been staring at me the whole time, asked, "Sorry, I completley forgot, what was your name again?"  My name? I hadn't even introduced myself yet.

"Isn't this studio photography class?" I asked, fearing the worst.

"Nooo honey, this is color." the girl sitting next to me responded.

"Oh. What do you mean by color?"

"Like, how to make color turn out more vividly in pictures. Ya know?" Duhh.

"Oh...wow. Oops!"

"Studio photography doesn't start until next thursday," The instructor cut back in. "This small class has been meeting for a month now."

Double oops!  I awkwardly handed back the paper and pen to their rightful owners (one guy tried to make me feel better by joking that I wasn't late, I was a week early), apologized for the confusion, and hurried out as everyone laughed. At least now I know where the building is...
